Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

If we take a look back at my preliminary task, we can see the huge difference in professionalism. The reason that my final piece of coursework looks so much better than my preliminary task (titles 'Secondary Situations') is that i have learnt so much from when i made my preliminary task til when i made my final front cover.
This first major thing i have learnt is that you cant have shadows behind the photos you take for your coursework. This made it very hard for me to cut out with the lassoo tool on photoshop elements. I had to learn how to place the model in a place where no shadow would be casted on the wall behind.
The next thing i have learnt is what music magazine conventions are. These are things such as pugs, cover lines, images, skylines and barcodes. These conventions are all here for specific reasons and i feel i have successfully learnt why they are put on the music magazine.
Also in the run up from my preliminary task to my final media piece, i feel i have learned a lot about photoshop elements software. I have learnt how to use the icons successfully but still needs some practise on this. However, i learnt enough to construct my music magazine coursework.
The last thing i believe i have gained a greater knowledge on is the use of technologies. These are things such as the software, the mac computers, the cameras we used and the blogs we post our coursework on. I didnt use any of the above technologies before this academic year, and now i feel that i can use all of these successfully.
Overall, i feel i have learnt a lot of different things within the space of creating my preliminary task to the construction of my final media parts of coursework.
